The EU Watchdesk monitors regulatory developments at the EU level that could impact Mazars' day-to-day business, and promotes Mazars' voice and expertise in the EU Capital during important policy debates. In addition to the EU Watchdesk, the European Affairs Project Director also acts as the dedicated resource for business development within the Global Audit and Assurance Service Line, leading initiatives to continuously grow our Audit and Assurance business.

We are looking for a dynamic and internationally minded intern who can assist us with various initiatives currently managed by the European Affairs Project Director. These initiatives translate into projects encompassing business development, strategic influence, regulation, marketing and communication.

You will be a member of a dynamic, international, and business-centric team; contribute to both strategic and operational projects; develop your skills through practical experience; learn to work effectively with people of different nationalities, cultures and educational backgrounds; and gain hands-on experience across different disciplines.

Roles and responsibilities

Based in Paris, you will assist the European Affairs Project Director in tasks such as:
Monitoring relevant regulatory developments at EU and member state level.
Following up with Mazars offices on their business development strategies.
Managing the EU Watchdesk platform.
Creating, developing and animating a business development platform and community.
Drafting monthly newsletters.
Assisting the creation and implementation of a multitude of business development initiatives.
Assuming administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the EU Watchdesk.
You will also be expected to develop or maintain the following tools:
A knowledge sharing and knowledge management platform focused on business development initiatives.
An external webpage on the various reforms taking place at EU level.
Traveling might be required on a punctual basis.

Internship available from February 2018.

In the process of obtaining a Master degree in business, European affairs, public affairs, international economic policy, etc, you have a knowledge of EU institutions and governance, as well as of the audit and financial services sector, is a plus.


Fluency in English is a must, fluency in French is a major bonus (other European languages are appreciated);
Excellent oral and written English is a must;
Adaptability and flexibility;
Good presentation skills;
Strategic mindset.
Some work experience appreciated.
